A song was playing as a wine was pouring.

And the party went on around them.

A reveler who was enthralled filled his cup;

he sang aloud.

As he sang the song paused. As the wine

continued to pour it asked, "what did you pause for?"

The song stayed anxiously still and the

revellers drank quietly. The song

replied, "I could not hear what he was singing."

The wine came back, "we are here to play

and to pour, not to listen and not to drink."
